Our children at school were very excited. For the very first time some visitors from England should come. They asked themselves:
Are we good enough to talk with them. What can we show or say?
And so we started to prepare the visit together with the children.
One class worked together with a teacher student. They prepared a big poster with pictures from our school. Other children learned what to say at the guided tour through the school.
Others played the flute : God save the Queen. Our guests were surprised and enjoyed it very much.

Trip to BERLIN, the capital of Germany
Germany meets Hungary from 1st to 5th February 2014
In Germany the holidays started and 3 teachers from the primary school in Halle started the individual teacher exchange to Kiskunhalas. We arrived very excited to Hungary. This time it was the topic to take more actively part in lessons, language training with students and teachers and be a part of the German recitation competition.
Sunday, 2nd February
Trip to Szeged and we took a lot of pictures this time. We enjoyed the day very much.
museum Mora Ferenc
We visited Móra Ferenc Múzeum and the Dóm. Even our Lexi wanted to climb up the tower. He wasn't afraid at all.
Monday, 3rd February
Many teachers offered to observe their lessons. So we could see they do a lot of partner and group work, play games while learning and use their technical equipment. Students were very nice and we felt they wanted to meet us and be in contact.
(We had a lot of fun, too.)
In the afternoon we visited Lace House (Csipkeház) and took part in the school choirs training.
A special event was at 4 p.m.
Parents and children from the kindergarden came and took part in a special German- show.
Tuesday, 4th February
We could observe some more lessons, had a project meeting together with the headteacher Mr Tóth and the Hungarian coordinator Mrs Kárász and took part in the recitation competition.
The morning started with assembly, we gave the awards to the best children in the international language competition. To make it more interesting the host school in Hungary invited a local school from Kiskunhalas to take part in that competition. It was a great opportunity to involve more schools into our Comenius project.
Vanessa, a girl from Halle, will be a lucky girl. Her pen friend sent her some greetings. Thank you for that.
Congratulations, children! You did a very good job. And also congratulations to the teachers. Without you and the parents it isn't possible to have such good results.
All children have been learning long poems. It wasn't easy for us to decide who is the best.
From 17th to 21st of March 2014 our Comenius partner team from Croatia attended our school in Kežmarok - Slovakia. We started our project meeting with short welcome dinner because the participants had a long journey and were very tired. On Tuesday we introduced our teaching staff to our guests. Then they participated on the lessons. At first it was class 9A and 9B. Children listened to the Croatian teachers very carefully. It was very interesting for them. They learned some basic facts about Croatia, Daruvar and about our partner school – Ekonomska i turistička škola. The pupils had a lot of curious questions. They also told to our guests which places in Croatia they visited during their summer holidays with their parents. The pupils could practise their language skills – both in German and English. Then the Croatian partners went to Aquacity in Poprad. After swimming we had a dinner together with the teachers of our school. We discussed all the activities concerning the project tasks. On Wednesday we went to the High Tatras – Hrebienok. Then the Croatian partners were at the short meeting at the townhall with the mayor of the town Kežmarok. On Thursday we had a short project meeting and the Comenius team from Daruvar went to Krakow for some sightseeing and they flew back home.
